Two days after Chris Christies reelection rout in New Jersey and his sweeping speech that left little room for guessing about what he plans to do next, the governor was greeted Thursday with a Time magazine cover calling him the elephant in the room.
The suggestive language about the New Jersey governor, whose weight struggles have been chronicled and analyzed at length, was obvious. Dr. Hitchcock? asked one GOP strategist in a conversation with a reporter, referring to the jowly silhouette of the famous director.
Christie is being heralded by donors and elites as a potential GOP saviortheir early call as the partys hope for a candidate who would have cross-over appeal in a general election. Yet, nearly nine months after his highly-publicized lap-band surgery, a lingering question about Christies girth hovers just below the surface of the growing buzz surrounding his 2016 prospects.

His good friend Mika will volunteer to be his personal (physical) trainer if he decides to run.
Mika has a thing for Chissy.
Damn! And here I just thought of him as a RINO!
It will all get down to Mister Christie's lack of support for the Second Amendment, and general anti-gun record.
(He's a non-starter, no matter how hard the drive-bys promote him.)
.
He’s had a gastric bypass if I’m not mistaken and yet his waist size still nearly equals his height. I’m sorry but he apparently lacks self-discipline, which manifests itself in his cafeteria “conservatism” that only appears “conservative” to New Yorkers who can’t hack the rent in NYC.
People lose their minds about CC, and I’m not sure why. his schtick may fly in jersey, but I don’t see how it would play nationally. and we learned last time how brilliant it was to nominate a guy that couldn’t even carry his own state.
I laughed when I read about Romney laughing and making jokes watching a vid of Christie waddling down the isle of a plane.
Christie, our savior...
Wtf?
Hillary Clinton has gotten distinctly creepier looking over the past several years, and she set a pretty high bar before. She’d be perfect cast as an alien trying to pass as human in some cheap made-for-tv science fiction series.
If things go as planned, they’ll need a steel girder to support the debate stage.
Believe me! It’s not his weight that I am worried about!
And she is NOT exactly anorexic by any stretch of the imagination...why no concern over HER weight? Most people in this country weigh more than they should, so what’s the “big” deal? (pun intended;) I think he will regret playing nice with those Commie pukes...they’re revving up the slime machine already!
1. Anti - 2A
2. Pro - supersize gov’t
3. Pro - Mooslimb
4. Pro - gay
5. Pro - moron
He’s 100% a f’ing DemocRat.
Would it be unethical to send him boxes of donuts?
Not meaning to make fun of the guy’s weight, just thinking out loud whether this issue might play to our advantage and he does not make the cut.
Hillary is sturdy, Christie is obese. They both could afford to miss a few meals but Christie looks like a glutton. They ran a Bain Capital fat cat last time and lost, so now they’re springing for a literal fat cat. The nasty puns just write themselves.
For the life of me, I do not see what the northeastern Republicans see in this guy as far as national office. He’s proven again and again that he is a parochial Jerseyite with a tin ear for the rest of the country. But, he’s a good little fascist who’s not as draconian in his attitudes toward business as a Democrat, and for this the establishment drools.
Insanity.
Imagine what the left would be saying if he was a woman, or gay, or transgender. Their bigotry and hate consumes them.
