Congress is gearing up for a series of votes on measures that could upend the entire Obamacare scheme, as both the House and Senate now have bills that would allow Americans to keep their health insurance policies in the face of the Affordable Care Act, no matter what.

**SNIP**

Sen. Mary Landrieu, a liberal Louisianan who voted for the Affordable Care Act in 2009, is up for re-election in 2014. Like many Democrats who fear public anger over the law, she is moving to political redefine herself as an oath-keeper.

The ol' 'If you like your plan, you can keep your plan' plan. Are they passing out bribes this time around? Will Landrieu take another?

House republicans should require the final bill be their bill, not a Senate Dem bill.

I wish Congress would introduce and pass a Freedom of Heathcare Choice Act. Simply state that no individual or business can be denied the the right to purchase or provide healthcare benefits of their choosing and clearly state that no taxes, fees, or penalties can be assessed for the execution of this choice. Plain simple language that would gut Zero care at its core. It would force the left to embrace freedom or oppose it outright.

Republicans need to counter with a bill (or series of Amendments) that Repeal this law, then replace it with Personal health accounts, and insurance across state lines among other free-market based ideas!

The reason they can’t allow people to keep their plans long term is they figured on forcing the several million people in the individual market to finance the privileged poor who would then get their plans cheaper (and vote Democrat to keep it that way.) Without that financing none of this stuff works. The deficit will climb even higher than predicted. (It would climb anyway, but that’s not the point.)

Obama and the other Rats already lied to the American and now they want Americans to believe they will fix the issue they alone created.

Too late. Democrats marched lockstep with Obama behind a flawed strategy. They are far into the kill zone where there is no cover or retreat. The rightously angered American voter will be merciless.

That’s going to be a bit of a difficulty, actually. Who is going to purchase a new, considerably more expensive plan when the old one is doing just fine? And if they don’t, who picks up the tab for the uninsured? Well, OK, that last question is purely rhetorical. It’s going to be a little more difficult to cook the books, is all.

Sen. Mary Landrieu, a liberal Louisianan who voted for the Affordable Care Act in 2009, is up for re-election in 2014. Like many Democrats who fear public anger over the law, she is moving to political redefine herself as an oath-keeper.

February 11, 2003: Landrieu bragged about support for Estrada in campaign ads.

Mary Landrieu has worked close to the Hispanic Community. Immediately following the destruction of Hurricane Mitch in Nicaragua and Honduras, Mary Landrieu was the first representative of the US to visit Honduras and involve herself with the relief effort for those affected by the hurricane and she obtained 11 million dollars in support of the affected families. Mary Landrieu ALSO SUPPORTED THE CANDIDACY OF THE HONDURAN MIGUEL ESTRADA FOR THE FEDERAL COURT OF APPEALS. Mary Landrieu has always been close to our community, she has grown, socialized and worked along our side. An announcement paid for by friends of Mary Landrieu."

February 12, 2003: Landrieu disavows Estrada ads

Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, who is now opposing the nomination of Miguel Estrada to a federal appeals court judgeship, ran Spanish-language radio ads during her campaign for a December runoff election saying she supported his nomination.

The ads, which ran on a New Orleans radio station for almost two weeks, praised Mrs. Landrieu's outreach to Hispanics and specifically noted Mr. Estrada.

¿Cómo Se Dice "Liar"?: Landrieu on Estrada

When Landrieu was confronted with this "apparent contradiction," her staff, no doubt using President Clinton's deposition as a "how to" guide for politicos caught in "apparent contradictions" issued the following statement:

Unfortunately, some of my supporters in the Hispanic community who helped us produce this commercial misinterpreted my neutrality as a statement of support. I take personal responsibility for the error and I apologize to anyone who was mislead by these ads, which ran for less than two weeks on one radio station in New Orleans.

It's time for this liar to be removed from Congress.

Guaranteed death spiral. Now, absolutely no one will participate in the exchanges except the very sick, and very old.

the whole thing collapses. then, the only danger is the President Utterly Disconnected will try to fix his disaster with single payer

as the president says 'sorry' for misleading on health insurance

NOT SO !

Obama did NOT apologize.

Obama did NOT say he was sorry he mislead people.

Obama said:

“I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me.”

What he is really sorry about is that he got caught lying again, and that his own loyal Obama Media wasn't able to fully cover his lies this time.

Passage of this bill would, in effect, be a repeal of Obiecare, which is why Obie can't let it pass. Righteous hell will have to reign down on the congressional dems for this to proceed.

It is so delicious, though, watching them squirm. Fix it, repeal it, exempt everyone OR say so long to DC. This has been ugly, but it's showing us what damage BIG GOVERNMENT is capable of creating.

Not only did he NOT apologize for his deceit, he doubled-down again with his “only 5% affected” lie. Some estimates take it as high as 40%, once employer plans are rejected in another year’s time.

Keeping one's "plan" is a good start, but for that to happen, would not the onerous and expensive additional requirements heaped on insurance companies need to be re-set? This would mean that for peeps to keep plans, Obamacare would have to yield back much control to the market, and new regulations (zillions of them) would need to be nuked, or am I sizing this up incorrectly?

And just as important, what about physicians? They have already started heading for the hills.

They are far into the kill zone where there is no cover or retreat.

Fall of 14' they maybe the metaphorical V.K. Konovalov in the movie Red October, as Commander Tupolev is trying to destroy Red October and Tupolev ends up screwing up bigtime as a torpedo ends up coming back at them, and 2nd in command Andrei Bonovia says to Captain Tupolev;

"You arrogant ass! You've killed us!"

They are so screwed that put their name on it.

The funny part is, if Obie had a Dick Morris and was a pragmatist like Clinton, he'd veto and triangulate a couple of times, but in the end if Boehner sent him a Free-Market Bill that worked and he'd sign it, call it Obamacare and take the credit.

But he can't, his ideology, narcissism, hubris, and his deus ex machina complex won't let him.

He may destroy them and himself Politically because of it by Nov of 14'.

You are right they are squirming, it is Schadenfreude as we watch them play musical chairs on the deck of the USS Husstanic, it will sink, they know it will too, and they can't do anything about it, they have not life boats metaphorically speaking...
