Nearly two-dozen members of Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns lost reelection earlier this week, delivering another blow to the anti-gun group that has been losing members at a rapid pace for more than year. Here is the list of members who were defeated:
Daniel Juarez Hawthorne, CA
Patrick J. Morris San Bernardino, CA
Richard A. Moccia Norwalk, CT
Gow Fields Lakeland, FL
Earnestine D. Pittman East Point, GA
Nancy Chaney Moscow, ID
Joshua J. Cohen Annapolis, MD
Thatcher W. Kezer, III Amesbury, MA
Linda M. Balzotti Brockton, MA
James H. Suttle Omaha, NE
Eric A. Spear Portsmouth, NH
Lorenzo T. Langford Atlantic City, NJ
Robert L. Bowser East Orange, NJ
Mary Foster Peekskill, NY
Thomas S. Richards Rochester, NY
Robbie Perkins Greensboro, NC
Jackie Holcombe Morrisville, NC
Ted Andrzejewski Eastlake, OH
Margaret D. Stock Butler, PA
Pete Lagiovane Chambersburg, PA
Bonnie Heath Pottstown, PA
Ralph Harrington West Elizabeth, PA
Mike McGinn Seattle, WA
The 23 mayors who lost re-election were opposed and confronted by the National Rifle Association and represented more than 10 percent of MAIG membership. In addition, 69 Mayors Against Illegal Guns members chose to retire and not seek re-election. Many of the mayors who retired represented cities in New York and Connecticut, both states that have implemented harsher gun control laws since last year.
His batting average is worse than Soros on the SoS project LOL.
What does worry me is this program for Dems to fund Libertarian candidates in many close races like they did in the Virginia gov. race.
The Dems have generated so much dough via crony capitalism they can fund their candidates AND the Libertarian.
Robbie Perkins Greensboro, NC
I’m not sure Nancy Vaughn is much better.
The Libertarian candidate was really a liberal. He should have been in the debates.
Finally. Some good news.
we should start referring to MAIG as XMAG.
if the republicans can’t figure out a way to make the dem gun control effort a huge issue in 2014 and 2016 ....then they are actually more incompetent than I think they are, which is hard to imagine being possible ....
I think that ALL anti-gun politicians should be tried for treason since they are against the Constitution
Not much change for Seattle. The guy who beat McGinn won the race leftward. He’s a gay communist who will no doubt be signing up for Bloomie’s Banning Guntards.
Blooming idiot, keep them coming!
Keep giving us a list of those we need to throw out.
You may have much money as God, but we have the Bill of Rights.
good news
“Not much change for Seattle.”
It is highly doubtful that gun control played a meaningful part in the Seattle mayoral contest; likewise for Moscow, Idaho. Campaign chatter and letters did not mention firearm ownership or use.
Sort of. The democrat in Texas only gave $150,000 to Sarvis to enable him to gather enough signatures to get onto the ballot, which was the objective. McAuliffe spent $22 million.
Thanks for this good news ping.
AMF’s to them all.

NEWTOWN — In Newtown, Republicans took four seats out of five open seats on the Board of Education.
thank you Lord!
With everything going on, the Second Amendment might well be the only worthwhile acid test for ANY politician.
