I’ll bet 75% of the “low-information” crowd don’t even know they’ll be fined if they don’t sign up.

Until their Earned Income Tax Credit doesn't show up because their tax refund has been confiscated to pay the fine.

You make an interesting point...what are the time deadlines...I know most of these folks file immediately in January...to get the EIC...every street corner in the ‘hood sprouts a “fast tax” office..
