I’ve tried to explain shills and other political tricks to otherwise intelligent people many times over the years. As soon as they realize it is politics, their eyes glaze over and they mumble the mantra, “Both parties do it.”

Its really sad, isn't it? Complain, complain complain, but then there is someone who can help explain why and you get "politics is just so boring...."
