I wonder if this idiot actually believe this or he's just trying to get ratings...

I’m beginning to believe there are more morons in sports news journalism than in plain old news journalism.

The national anthem chonicles how we won our freedom. Freedom isn’t free; it has to periodically be fought for as Jefferson so aptly noted.

Makes sense to me. The anthem has NO PLACE at sporting events. It’s original purpose was to take peoples minds off how rotten life was during the depression. Patriotism is the last bastion of the scoundrel-works every time.

People like this are the reason I have not watched any of these shows for a long time. He can say what he wants but I don’t have to listen and I choose not to.

Fire his silly rump.
Being a moron should be enough of a reason to fire an announcer who apparently has so little aptitude for sports he must deflect into a non-issue.

>>He actually called the Star-Spangled Banner a war anthem.
George Carlin: “Baseball is played in a park. Football is played in a stadium. Soldier Field or War Memorial Stadium. Football you wear a helmet..is rigidly timed and will end even if we have to go to SUDDEN DEATH. In football the object is for the QB, the field general, to be on target with his aerial assault, riddling the defense with deadly accuracy..with short bullet passes or long bombs he marches his troops into enemy territory, balancing his assault to the enemy’s defensive line...”

ESPN you can kiss my backside. I will wear the flag any time, any place I want. I will always stand at attention with my hand over my heart and face the flag when our anthem plays - as it should often to remind us how America came to be.
PS - I will always call the Washington Redskins the "Redskins" - even if I don't particularly like the team nor their fans.

I want to be at the United Center at the start of a Chicago Blackhawk’s game when some libtard announces that Jimmy Cornelison will not be singing the anthem because it’s militaristic and offensive.

You know, it occurs to me that liberals truly want a pussi-fied, pacifist, completely government controlled society of drones.
The Sylvester Stallone movie "Demolition Man" isn't particularly good, or bad. Kind of your average action movie. But the funny thing is, I find myself identifying with the Edgar Friendly character in it. He's the rebel going against the sheeple. Anyway, if/when you watch this movie look at the society Stallone wakes up in. It is exactly the idiotic kind of liberal utopia today's liberals seem to be pushing for. {shudder} What a nightmare.

The Dallas Morning News stopped having a great sports page when Blackie Sherrod retired. When they brought in such duds like Kevin Blackistone because they wanted more politically correct color instead of competent sports writers, I stopped subscribing.
