(AP) FDA to ban artery-clogging trans fats By MARY CLARE JALONICK Associated Press WASHINGTON Heart-clogging trans fats have been slowly disappearing from grocery aisles and restaurant menus in the last decade. Now, the Food and Drug Administration is finishing the job.
The FDA announced Thursday it will require the food industry to gradually phase out artificial trans fats, saying they are a threat to people's health. Commissioner Margaret Hamburg said the move could prevent 20,000 heart attacks and 7,000 deaths each year.

We could have solved AIDS in the 80’s within a few years. It was just easier to use kid gloves on the problems.
When I was young we used peanut oil to fry chicken, but it’s expensive to use now.
Tell me about it. We priced the big containers of it at SAMs week before last. Won’t be frying any potatoes for a long time at that price! And, I’m not sure it’s as good for you as the coconut oil. And doesn’t, in our opinion, taste as good either.
That’s probably true, haven’t had peanut oil in years.
Any time I see that in an article, I am assured that euthanasia will come up as well.
