Metcalfe is gone, and Boquette is also gone. Reading between the lines in that letter, its clear to me the management was unhappy with what happened, and demanded the head of the writer and the head of the editor that passed the column through.

What is NOT clear is the motivation - were they fired because the management was genuinely opposed to what had been published in their names, or were they fired because management was displeased with the negative publicity? Either way they are gone, but one of those paths leaves open the possibility of repeats of this stupidity.

Simply another attempt to peel "brown" rifle supporters away from "black" rifle supporters, and acquisition of all the resultant accolades and benefits that would come showering down from the left should anyone with pro-gun bona fides accomplish it.
