Wouldn’t it be funny if Gov. McAuliffe gets indicted for one of his many scams while he is in office?

That’s my only positive takeaway from this week. Within four years McAuliffe undoubtedly will do something horribly slimy as governor or get indicted for a past action and we are nearly guaranteed the next governor’s race in that state. Hopefully it will happen before Nov ‘16 to turn the tide with voters in time for the electoral votes to flip back.

Before his narrow loss, Ken Cuccinelli was presidential timber in the cycles to come. Now his career is over unless he has Nixonian resiliency and comes back, perhaps winning a seat from Virginia in the Senate. No doubt the Republican national committee and the Chamber of Commerce considered his potential when they eliminated financial support for Ken Cuccinelli so desperately needed by him to conduct an air war on television.

Barone's analysis of this election is valuable because it makes clear that it was not the conservatism of our candidate which defeated him but the air war financed with really dirty money. So the battle between the Tea Party and the Establishment goes on with the Tea Party now being armed with data that demonstrates that puts the fault where it really belongs, upon the Establishment. Other polls which show that it is the Democrats by one point being blamed in Virginia for the shutdown puts lie to the argument, voiced today by every-six-year-conservative Senator Orrin Hatch, that the blame for the loss belongs to two senators, implying Cruz and Lee, for shutting down the government.

Pity that we do not have equally cogent analysis concerning the election of 2012 upon which to ground arguments for a conservative resurgence.

Lonegan got 44% in the NJ Senate “special election”. Christie did not want Booker on the undercard. Lonegan did that with ZERO help from the Senate GOP or the NJGOP. If the election was just a few weeks later and Obamacare was exposed, Lonegan would have gone up 6 points and defeated Booker who will be the future Democrat rock star. The GOP needs it’s comeuppance. Reince Priebus needs to be tossed out on his bum asap over the Cuccinelle debacle and the Tea Party should start threatening with 3rd party candidates to split the votes on these Rino’s.
