The National Republican Senatorial Committee is taking an unusually aggressive posture toward one of its conservative antagonists, putting out word that GOP groups shouldn't hire a consulting firm that works with the Senate Conservatives Fund.
The New York Times's Jonathan Martin reports:
Even more striking, a senior official at the committee called individual Republican Senate campaigns and other party organizations this week and urged them not to hire the firm, Jamestown Associates, in an effort to punish them for working for the Senate Conservatives Fund, a group founded by Jim DeMint, then a South Carolina senator, that is trying to unseat Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky

Really? You felt the need for this re-tread article from a week ago?
Do you work for Mitch McConnell?
It is more relevant now.
Then the NRSC is essentially what’s known as a closed shop.
Showing their true colors.
The Tea Party is basically a euphemism for the Conservative Movement. When you hear the news media talking about the Tea Party, they are talking about conservative activists. Within the GOP, conservative activists have been battling the establishment since the days of Eisenhower and Taft. The battle will never end.
well gee .I think I can remember this from a week ago. I think I can remember it from the NYT article of 20 minutes ago. I mean, this is not breaking news .
No problem if this article is posted again...it needs repeating
Anyone being supported by the NRSC...Chamber of Commerce...Rove’s Croseroads PAC...George Soros...is not Conservative
John Cornyn is only at 46% support. Lindsey Graham is likely going to have a runoff. Mitch McConnell is polling lower and lower against the democrat. Thad Cochran will probably retire due to a Tea Party challenge.
The establishment is piiiiiiiiiissssssssseeeeeddd!! They are out for blood! They really, really miss Arlen Specter, Bob Bennett and Richard Lugar. And they would have loved to have Mike Castle, Charlie Crist, Trey Greyson and David Dewhurst. Thank God we saved Lisa Murkowski, they say.
“Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here!” - Captain John Parker, Lexington, Massachusetts, April 19, 1775.
I reckon there will be enough business for this consulting firm anyway with the money shifting over to independent groups and candidates. Frankly at this point, we need to build our own system for media and GOTV to take on our own party. Given the GOP’s dinosaur operation, we’ll pass them in a couple year’s time.
This is actually a great idea!
I and others missed it.
it is good to that as many people as possible know the utter corruption of the GOPe.
It helps the cause to have more than one posting of such articles.
I guess I didn’t need the first article to know all of this, let alone a week old retread.
And since this article has come out, they’ve been embarrassed into backing down some. In other words, this is old news in so many ways, and the story itself has changed some.
And these stories, when they come from NYT or POlitico or National Journal are written with the express purpose of causing bad blood on conservative message boards and so on. I just don’t see the need for posting one after another after another after another.
Yeah, I get it, the GOPe sucks. Wrote a abook about it.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee are finding out that people do take out the trash.
