Good. I’m going to enjoy watching as the screws are tightened on the idiots in America who dare turn their back on liberty.

One has to find pleasure where they can.

We have a radio mediquack around here who apparently spent time living in France, and has always raved about how wonderful it was that the government there banned them.

I remember in 1970s and 1980s when margarine was told to be the healthy alternative to butter, and now they say its a killer. Which it might be.

Will be interesting to see how they sell this to Hispanics. Many of their traditional foods are fried in lard.

Transfats can be gotten rid of with exercise.
Changing channels, working the computer and stuffing faces isn't the "exercise" that will do it. Our kids are fatsos because they spend their lives as couch potatoes.

It's not complicated or difficult...especially for kids.
It simple old fashioned sloth and gluttony, coming from parents, one parent or absent parent(s). Also from poor example from said parents, usually.

To remove excess, ugly fat from American Life, I suggest... they start on the far... right!

Drudge has this right above the headline that Pakistan is willing to send nukes to Saudi Arabia. Priorties are so in line...

Trans fats have killed more people than Pakistani nukes, so I don’t see a problem.

Take away man’s little vices and he’ll go straight for the big ones! As we’ve banned cigarettes, soda, salt, fat, tag and other rough and tumble games, the culture has sunk into depravity and drug addiction. I’ve always thought there was a connection.

This is just another attempt to control the food supply. He who controls the food, controls the world.

You betcha!
The media wouldn't DARE say "Latino" or "Hispanic" but their cuisine is LOADED with lard...and their desserts are LOADED with sugar as well. Yum!
The Mexican women are darn cute and thin at 18 but then they have all the babies and cook/eat and make themselves Latino butterballs. The men then cheat with a younger thinner woman who thinks the cheat will marry her. He doesn't and thus the circle of life continues.

I'm Mexican on my father's side, have oodles of cousins in Mexico and I lived in Mexico for two years. There was no place to exercise except in a fancy, expensive club. No bicycle riding as men used bicycles for transport and work. No jogging either...just not done in public.

Personally I am against all regulation of this type and would have hoped companies would have voluntarily removed TF’s from their products due to consumer demand.

Unfortunately that has all too frequently not been the case. Trans fats are nasty little buggers and I believe most definately contribute to heart disease to name just one.

As much as I hate the government sticking their big fat nose in this I could live with it.

Lard is not a trans fat. Trans fats are manmade.

Lard is probably healthy, in moderation.
