Obamacare: The Unimaginable Suffering That Awaits Us
FrontPage Magazine ^ | November 5, 2013 | John Perazzo

There is a vital reason for all Americans to take a close look at how, specifically, the various government-run, single-payer healthcare systems around the world have already affected the lives of the people living under them. This is vital because Barack Obama and the Democrats actually have their sights set on creating precisely such a system here in the United States. For them, Obamacare is, and always has been, nothing more than a stepping stone toward their ultimate goal of a single-payer leviathan administered entirely by the federal government. Indeed, they’ve been quite clear about their intentions:

• In early August, Senator Harry Reid was asked whether his goal was to eventually use Obamacare as a springboard to a single-payer system. “Yes, yes. Absolutely, yes,” he replied. “What we’ve done with Obamacare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever.”

• In late October, Rep. John Conyers stated that Obamacare was just “a very small and modest bill,” and that Congressional Democrats were already contemplating ways to pass “universal healthcare for everybody, single payer.” “That’s what the new direction is,” Conyers affirmed, even as the supposedly “small and modest” Obamacare project was proving to be nothing more than a colossal lie administered with inexpressible incompetence.

• Nancy Pelosi, too, is on record stating: “I have supported single payer for longer than many of you have been—since you’ve been born, than you’ve lived on the face of the earth. So I think, I have always thought, that was the way to go.”(continued)

Everybody seems to agree that single payer nightmare is coming so it would appear to be obvious to me a defense needs to be formulated.

How can Oslimey and his minions perform this transformation without legislation and how can it be stopped, headed off at the pass? I know the dumbos already have their plan and know exactly how they are going to execute it but are we conservatives once again going to look like Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward in “Tremors”?

His object is to overthrow the Constitution. Or rather, turn it into a museum piece, like magna carta.

“How can Oslimey and his minions perform this transformation without legislation and how can it be stopped, headed off at the pass?”

Look at ratio of Medicaid sign-ups to paid policy sign-ups and you’ll have your answer. At the rate we’re going a voting majority of Americans will be enrolled in Medicaid before Obama’s term is up. The transformation to a Single-Payer system is being done before our eyes, and the feckless Republican party is too busy trying to destroy its young leaders to put up any meaningful resistance.

Britain: Cancer patients must sometimes wait as long as eight months for treatment, and roughly 40 percent of them never even get to see an oncologist. Many who were considered treatable when first diagnosed are incurable by the time their treatment is finally made available. Indeed, this is the sad fate of nearly one-in-five Britons with colon cancer.

Harry Reid: “What we’ve done with Obamacare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever.”

IMO, it cannot be stopped.

On every forum and list that I follow, there are sincere-sounding libs who immediately “set the record straight” (if you make under $34k, you get a subsidy; I just got a subsidy and so my life is now saved, now you can’t ever go bankrupt due to high medical bills; the Koch Brothers did it; yadda yadda)and end with “now can we get back on topic”.

zer0 has by passed our laws and Constitution so many times, why will this time be different? The tame Congress will just implement single player ASAP and if they don’t, it will be accomplished by Agency Secretaries who don’t work for us.

We conservatives will be fortunate if we are not tarred, feathered and excluded from society for not agreeing with them. I have already seen suggestions that we not ever be allowed to get a subsidy based on our political beliefs.

“When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed.”- AYN RAND

good closing sentence.
