The only thing more horrifying than these costumes was that someone thought they merited a cash prize.
In a sickening stunt, two college students from Britain sparked outrage after they dressed as the burning Twin Towers and won a costume contest, the U.K. Sun reported.
Amber Langford and Annie Collinge, both 19-year-old students at the University of Chester, donned matching costumes labeled North Tower and South Tower, and wore head pieces that represented smoke billowing from the tops of the doomed skyscrapers and individuals leaping to their deaths. Their disturbing hats were topped off with American flags.
Stunningly, their crude costumes won them the best dressed award, and a cash prize, in a costume contest at Rosies nightclub in Chester.

I’m tending toward “guilty”.
Without better body pics, we can’t judge if they qualify for a possible BJ Clinton post-POTUS pardon.
And a girl in Michigan gets fired dressing up as Boston runner after the bombing...
It’s a lot safer than dressing up as a burning Koran...
Gee golly. I wonder if Great Britain would appreciate Americans dressing up as a dead lady Di. Hmmmm.
I have seen that British “yutes” have ours beat on the stupid index.
Sad.
I have a pretty good sense of humor, but I have trouble finding the humor in mocking a situation where hundreds of fathers, husbands, wives, mothers and loved relatives were forced to leap to their deaths or asphyxiate or burn.
I would not be able to find them not-guilty no matter what. This just saddens me into a complete loss of words to comment further.
Which was incredibly stupid and shows how badly the disease of political correctness has infected our society. They also used that excuse to justify sending her death threats and publishing both her address and the address of her parents so they could be threatened and harassed also. Is that really how you want to be treated for having poor taste?
It will be interesting to see what kind of backlash hits these Brits now that the story is gaining traction.
The appalling lack of conscience in many of the younger generations crosses oceans and mountains. I can only say that the rest of the world is decades ahead in the Socialist Government model. And we already have many in this nation that would think the costumes are funny. Socialism breeds jealousy and contempt for those who have more than you. This is our future (and sadly much of our present).
Their twitter accounts seem to have disappeared...and this will continue to show up in web searches, prospective employers will see.
And they have apologized:

>>Amber Langford and Annie Collinge, both 19, were given £150 in shopping vouchers after winning a Halloween costume contest at Rosies nightclub in Chester. Their matching outfits, which were labelled North Tower and South Tower, featured depictions of flames, explosions and planes hanging from windows.
>>Ms Langford and Ms Collinge, both students at Chester University, told the Sun newspaper: We never meant to be offensive, but we apologise if any offence was caused.
The idea was to depict a serious, modern-day horror that happened in our lifetime and was not intended as a joke.

NOTE: Yeah they have really somber expressions in that pic.

>>Ms Langfords father Martin, a pilot, said he was not happy at all about the outfits.
>>She knows Im a pilot and thats not cool at all, he said. We will be having a little chat, I think.
Stonegate Pub Company, which operates Rosies, said the decision to award a prize to the women was a serious error of judgment made by a DJ.
Ya know, it’s time to start punching people in the face...i’m over it...
19 ?!? Rode hard and put away wet.
The south tower looks a bit drunk to me.
Morons.
Maybe someone ought to dress up like Princess Di after the crash?
Think that will be ok?
"she knows Im a pilot and thats not cool at all"...
(tough-guy)
... "we will be having a little chat, I think"
...before or after the wedding?...(can Muhammad call you....Dad-dy?)
(you can just bet these PC indoctrinated cupcakes were encouraged by their college "classmates"...not to mention their "professors")
It’s my experience that no group comes in sooner than Wall Street traders on making fun of current events, and the most distasteful They have a sense of when the time is right.
They’ll NEVER make light of this event.
NEVER.
