Sgt. Sean Murphy Retires from Massachusetts State Police Murphy, the tactical photographer who released dramatic photos of the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev manhunt, retires after 25 years with the force.
By John Wolfson
Three and a half months after releasing the dramatic behind-the-scenes photos he took during the manhunt for suspected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Sgt. Sean Murphy has retired from the Massachusetts State Police.
As part of a negotiated agreement, Murphy has also signed off on five disciplinary charges that were brought against him for the unauthorized release of the photos: violation of rules; unbecoming conduct; unsatisfactory performance; insubordination; and dissemination of information.
Under the agreement, Murphy waived his right to contest the charges before a trial board; was docked five of the vacation days hed accrued; and received an honorable discharge. I think its fair, he told me this morning. It could have been much worse. His retirement, which comes after 25 years with the State Police, is effective Nov. 1.

Tactical Photographer? Does he shoot dogs with a camera instead of a gun?
Was this the incident where the Muslim foreigners used Walmart chicken cooker bombs on innocent people and government shut down the entire city afterwards?
If I recall it was the governemnt who allowed known bad guys to enter the U.S., and it was revealed government was giving them hundreds of thousands of tax paid gifts and prizes..
The guy had the balls to expose the action with no words ... just let the photos speak for themselves.
What? No! .. I didn't say that ... just took a pitcha.
The Last good cop in the state....
Last good cop? Hell, those photos are cop porn.
Meanwhile...
How many teenaged girls were diddling themselves to this sort of porn?
don’t be ridiculous
He released the photos to counter the horrendous Rolling Stone propaganda that made the Boston Bombers out to be youth heroes.
Sgt. Murphy has sacrificed his career to counter the MSM propaganda which was giving the jihadists heroic stature.
Now Sgt. Murphy is no longer with the Mass. State Police, because he let the public know what was really going on.

From Sgt. Sean Murphy An ..Open letter to Bill Maher,
WHY?
Why would you further hurt the people of Boston the way you did on your latest cable show?
You say that it was a bad day, three people died. You dont even care to know that actually four people were killed (yes killed, not died) as a result of the two Boston bombers. Hundreds were permanently injured as a result of the bombings. Officer Sean Collier was executed by these two cowards as he was seated in his cruiser.
The Red Sox celebration was a healing moment for Boston. I emphasize the word moment. For those that have been affected by the Patriots Day bombing, each day is a struggle. Some days are better than others. For every good day, there are many more that are painful. You clearly dont care that the families of the three that died, are now facing an empty seat at the Thanksgiving Day table. Perhaps another bad day for them will be planning their holiday celebrations without their loved ones around. Perhaps those who lost a limb (or two) will have another bad day as they reflect back on the end of 2013 and realize just how much their world has changed.
Some have said that the Tsarnaev Rolling Stone cover, that was equally insulting and hurtful to Boston, was a desperate measure of a washed up, has been, entity. Even though this may be applicable to you, it is simply unconscionable that you would even voice such an ignorant, hurtful, insult to the city of Boston.
