"It is true that McAuliffe spent more. It is not true that Cuccinelli lacked resources. I think his campaign spent more than $19 million——a HUGE amount in a small state like VA"

The question isn't whether McAuliffe spent more; that's not up for debate. You said you doubted the RNC spent enough money, and I am correcting you based on what I know. Again, the Cuccinelli campaign and numerous other sources state that they were abandoned by the RNC in favor of Christie.

I'm in Virginia. I sat through the endless onslaught of McAuliffe ads. Ken just didn't have the money to compete. So with all due respect, don't tell me that Cuccinelli didn't lack resources. You don't know what you're talking about.

Looking at it from outside your state, I’d tend to think you’re correct.
One of the real threats of our rampant crony capitalism is that people like the Clinton Crime Family and Chicago Mob have huge amounts of campaign money.

Well I’m in CA. And I’ve seen Republicans like Meg Whitman spend kazillions on the airwaves. It makes no difference when you’re in a solid blue state where the GOP brand is about as popular as hemmeroids. Unfortunately VA is turning solid blue too, ehich explains why McAuliffe always had a built in advantage.
