Robyne O'Mara and Lynne Burnett have been together 33 years, and on Tuesday they watched, almost in awe, as Illinois lawmakers cast votes that would make the couple's decadeslong relationship equal to any other.

"We were just blown away," O'Mara said after the General Assembly passed a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. "I think the momentum in our nation has convinced people. It's been an amazing ride the past several years. We're so grateful the legislators took it upon themselves and recognized that every citizen has the right to marry."

America used to be a great nation. We are declining so rapidly. Our morality is perverted.

Lord save us.

I really wish I could move to another country. I have given up on America.

"I think the momentum in our nation has convinced people."

Convinced people, my patoot. People are still disgusted by your actions.

"This is a time when our laws are in line with our values," Emanuel said.

Your values are trash.

Saying that a democrat's ass is a brain doesn't make it a brain.

You and me both. Having considered the cloth in my past, I’m not afraid of living in poverty or seclusion, but leaving behind those who I love would be devastating. If I could afford a large sailboat and just sail away to somewhere secluded, I would do it today.

In the OT, the Lord dealt mainly with nations. Ever since Jesus came on the scene, it’s all about the individual relationship with your creator. It’s truly one-on-one.

That being said, the US is actually 50 nations tied together by a central agency. I moved from the nation of Washington state to the commonwealth of Kentucky in late 2011 partly because of the direction that state was going.

I pray for my nation, but mainly I pray for protection from it.

That is exactly what I have been thinking.

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. MATTHEW 24:37

It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. LUKE 17:28

The same nation where hundred of thousands people would celebrate a sports championship parade but wouldn’t cross the street to help a WW2 Vet, thank him for his service or go to a Veterans’ Day Parade? What is wrong with that? /sarc.

"We're so grateful the legislators took it upon themselves and recognized that every citizen has the right to marry."

And by that logic, I can marry my dog, or my car, or my house, or my refrigerator. Or all of them at once. Think of the deductions !

So so so damn misguided and stupid. IL already had civil unions on the books for the gays. Insuring them ALL the same legal benefits as ‘marriage’.

Bunch of freakin liars, every last one of them.
