Goodbye, New York. Detroit is coming to you on a speeding Subway now.

All those with the means to get the hell out, should do so as soon as possible.

This is going to make the Dinkins Days look like the prosperous god-old-days.

I pity New Yorkers , those of whom voted against this piece of pig excrement . I agree , all good folks should get out , abandon ship. Let it descend into 3rd world rathole status .
Put a fence around it and call it good .

Good.

NYC deserves what’s coming to them.

Hope he raises NYC taxes 400% and makes it illegal to eat hamburgers and pizza.

F NYC and its people.

We have paid a steep, steep price to defend that city.

They still don’t understand that Detroit was not a fluke but the canary.

Compost commenters predicting ruin for New York. Well, at least they see the future.

“De Blasio campaigned on a mantle of progressive change following Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s 12 years in office, highlighting what he saw as “a tale of two cities.””

It was the best of times, soon it will be the worst of times.

If they think there’s inequality between rich and poor now, just wait until the progressives really get in gear.

The only uncertainty about NY now is: Communist, Shariah or both?

Wondering if DeBlasio will order missiles and troops for the Thanksgiving day parade this year? Maybe even wear one of those dear leader jackets, to show New Yorks strength to its capitalist enimies and stuff.

He’s going to use Karl Marx’s ideas to help the middle class?

That’s not going to work.

I only wish the wealthy liberals who destroy cities and states by funding and voting in liberals were forced to stay and endure the consequences of their votes. Instead, they will depart, like locusts who have devastated an area and have nothing left to consume. They will then swarm to an area in which sensible economic policies have created jobs and wealth, vote in liberals, and the cycle continues.

It will take a while for that freight-train of failure to pick up speed, but once it gets going again...

“Liberal Governance” is on its last legs. Good luck, Bill. You’ve been elected on the wrong side of history.

“Liberal governance”? Like saying Hitler’s election in Germany was “ushering in a new era of non-militant governance”.

Leave it up to the Wash Post to coverup for a hardcore communist like DeBlasio and his avowed commie wife.

and lessen growing inequality between the rich and poor.

When will the GOP ever get around to debunking this misleading and foolish charge?

The ONLY time the gap between the rich and the poor is NOT growing is when the economy is in decline. Period. Easy example:

You're rich (congrats!), and I'm poor. You have $100 million. I have $100.
By ObamaLaw2015, we MUST invest in exactly the same way. For easy numbers, lets use a 10% rate of return.
After one year, you have $110 million. I have $110.

The "gap" between us grew by just under $10 million... even though we did EXACTLY the same thing!

The ONLY ways for this gap to shrink would be if vast amounts were taken from you evil rich guys, so much so that you gain nothing, or even start losing overall... or if we were both losing at the same rates (total economic decline).

Again, let the Right be VERY clear: The ONLY way the gap can shrink is for the "rich" to never gain a dollar, or for everyone to start losing money together... and in nether system can America's economy stand for very long... and this is what the Left is openly advocating for!!!!

When so the squeegee men start showing up at the Lincoln Tunnel when I’m commuting back to New Jersey?

All I know is that like the last time, the stupid Noooyawkas will move to New Jersey when they realize the horror show that NYC will become and then vote for the same kind of people here.
