NBC News projects Democratic businessman Terry McAuliffe will defeat Republican Ken Cuccinelli to become Virginia’s next governor after a contentious race that appeared closer than many political watchers anticipated with votes still to be counted.

Libertarian Robert Sarvis received less than 10 percent of the vote as a third-party candidate. …

I love this word, "projected." All over the news.

I'd like to see some numbers. I would really appreciate some numbers.

“Narrowly”?

Kind of hedging their bets aren’t they?

The GOP-e must think that they can keep this game up forever. The race being this close ought to make them think twice.

“Them” is exactly it. Now it is up to US to make people aware the GOP is NOT on “our” side. They are on Governments side, i.e. with the Democrats and enriching themselves first and doing the will of the voter next, maybe third or fourth even.

Never had a doubt of what?

That it’d be this close when the papers were saying otherwise?

When the GOP wants to be cool, they don’t support their candidate.

Can I be cool be not supporting the GOP?

Never mind cuz I WONT SUPPORT THE LIBERAL GOP ANYWAY.

1.61% margin to the Dem, with 1.98% left to report. Very close and could get closer.

Wrong. Virginia should be solidly red, but it like many other formerly conservative bastions has sold its soul for the drippings of the beast.

The state of Virginia now has only one political purpose: To launder money for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Oh, and BTW, just a quick shout out to Sarvis. Hope your 6% was worth. Just enough to help seal Cuccinelli’s fate.
