Democrats now see why tea party wants to delay Obamacare

What a difference a few weeks make.

When congressional conservatives and Tea Party Patriots fought to delay Obamacare’s individual mandate during the debate over the partial government shutdown, Democrats engaged in some of the most incendiary name-calling Americans have heard in years. Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California called opponents “arsonists.” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called them “anarchists.” Other Democrats resorted to more colorful language, like “political terrorism,” and said their political foes were “guilty of murder.”

That was then. Fast-forward to November and suddenly Democrats are advocating the conservative position. “Allowing extra time for consumers is critically important so they have the opportunity to become familiar with the [Obamacare] website, survey their options and enroll,” wrote New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in a letter to President Barack Obama, calling for a delay in the individual mandate.

Sen. Mark Pryor of Arkansas, who said, “Given the technical issues, it makes sense to extend the time for people to sign up,” is setting a parallel tone, while Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia is going so far as to help draft legislation to delay by a year the penalties facing people who do not buy government-mandated insurance. Sen. Mark Begich of Alaska is also calling for extending the individual enrollment period, and Kay Hagan of North Carolina and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana are among 10 Democrat senators who have signed Shaheen’s letter to the president.

Delay? No, dumping it would be the better explanation for what the tea party wants to do. Getting rid of this POC would serve America better in the long run then any delay.

Note well the focus on delaying the penalties is fluff! How many millions are going to lose their coverage NOW? How will a half-baked web site, purported to be operational on 30 Nov going to get those millions enrolled by 15 Dec so they have continued coverage on 1 Jan??? Wait until those folks try to fill a prescription in early January, get an appointment with their doc - if s/he is still their doc. THAT IS THE CRITICAL ITEM.

Pass an "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan" bill with a FULL COURT PRESS. DO IT NOW. Not next week, not next month, NOW. And if the RATs won't go with that, emergency repeal of the whole shebang.

I want this catastrophe to be so bad that after Reid, Pelosi, and Durbin are deposed, the remaining leaders of the Democrats in Congress take the walk to the Hut themselves and ask for a resignation.

THEN, Congress can withdraw the funding.

I agree. Support Landrieu’s bill that forces the White House Liar to allow people to keep the “ substandard” coverage they want. Then find someone with gonads to filibuster for one thing and one thing only—absolutely no waivers, carve outs, exemptions or any other play with words that let's anyone under the age of 65 or Federal employee under the age of 100 get out of having to join without subsidies proscribed in the bill. Focus on the INEQUALITY of having the elite ruling class exempt from a law they forced down the throat of every American. Repeat the words Unfair, elitist ruling class, liberal progressive, socialist, Marxist revolutionaries, imperial, dictator, regime, politburo, unconstitutional tax bill originated in the Senate, power grabbing executive privilege, and any other derogatory term. Also at every opportunity make them the butt of every joke and laugh at their ineptitude. Also equate Ezekiel Emmanuel with Joseph Mengele.
