Dan Rather early on reported he had seen a film (Zapruder?) and Kennedy was turned to the side and was waving to the crowdhence allowing him to be hit from the front in the throat even though his assassin was behind him. Since there is no film showing such, Rather was presenting a cover story to explain the front throat wound. JERRY: Newman, Kramer, if you'll indulge me.
According to your story, Keith passes you and starts walking up the ramp, then you say you were struck on the right temple.
The spit then proceeds to ricochet off the temple, striking Newman between the third and forth rib.
The spit then came off the rib, turned, and hit Newman in the right wrist causing him to drop his baseball cap.
The spit then splashed off the wrist -- pauses in mid air mind you -- makes a left turn and lands on Newman's left thigh.
That is one magic loogie.

Dan Rather got his start right after the Kennedy assassination. CBS and others in the MSM wanted reports from Dallas describing Texans as violent, right wing Kennedy haters who were happy that Kennedy had been killed.
At one elementary school in Dallas, children were sent home early after the assassination but were not told why. The children cheered when told they were let out early.
CBS wanted to show the kids were cheering because they were glad JFK had been killed. No other local journalist would file such a dishonest story. So CBS reported it as a live feed with a young Texan reporting that children of Dallas were happy and cheering because Kennedy had been shot. That young Texan was an unknown reporter named Dan Rather.
From that point on Rather's career advanced rapidly and he showed again and again he would lie on the air whenever needed. He became the anchor of CBS Evening News about a decade later.

Did anyone ever receive a certified hardcopy of Obama’s birf certificate? Or just layered PDF files?

Rather may have done so, but some high school students DID cheer when they heard the news.

So Dan Rather is still alive. I wondered where he went after lying on
60 Minutes about Bush, and trying to influence an election.

Schieffer can be boring enough and goofy enough for two -- or three or ten -- codgers.
Plus I have a feeling Bill Moyers will be crashing this. Doris Kearns, too?
