Obenshain is the daughter of former party chair and 1978 U.S. Senate candidate Dick Obenshain.

Her brother, Mark Obenshain, is a member of the Virginia State Senate.

Kate appears regularly on the Fox News Channel. She has a near-nightly gig on the O'Reilly Factor, and has appeared on other FNC shows over the years.
