I know nothing about this race - sorry, real life throwing me for a loop these days. But I saw today on Facebook a contact of mine wrote that he is a lifelong republican going to vote today in VA for a straight democratic ticket. He feels really weird about it but it has to be done.
Then a liberal hack I know in CA was strident about getting people out to vote for McCauliffe and about how important this election is.
What’s the thrust? Fighting the Evil Tea Party? What is motivating these people, especially the first guy I mentioned?
The only thing I can figure is that your FB contact is a moderate Republican who despises the Tea Party/ conservatives. Cuccinelli is solid in that respect. Maybe your guy hates social conservatives, of which Ken is one.
It's just stunning to me.....that a lifelong Republican believes it's vital to elect one of the sleaziest, most crooked shysters who ever drew breath. Not just any Dem, but Terry McAuliffe.
I can't even begin to imagine the thought process which led to such a conclusion.
Seminar troll. “I’m a Republican, but...” Rush and Levin get em all the time.
I'm always entertained by these so-called "conservatives" like that asshole Virginia Beach mayor Will Sessoms, who calls himself a "conscience voter" by supporting McAuliffe. How these people can look at themselves in the mirror and state their pride in having put a corrupt POS like McAuliffe into the Governor's Mansion is beyond me. Shame on them.
