“Cuccinelli ran a horrible race. He was disorganized, had no ground game, and responded defensively to every sling. He was doomed the second he started complaining about negative advertising.”
I’d say the problem started earlier, when it became clear the sitting governor had taken bribes, and Cuccinelli refused to condemn him. Made him look crooked too.
From that point, it was lost. Had the Dems selected a halfway decent candidate we would have gotten killed even worse.
This was an off-year election, with low turnout. Everything that’s supposed to point our way. If we’re losing even those elections now, Virginia is lost to us. That’s a major state we can’t spare.
IF they thought McDonnell was crooked— just wait this slimeball gets to work. VA should COOK his a@@— this is just NOT right.
And Rove— you are toast bozo. Toast. Not one dime to your RINO big efficient tax eating govt. lovers... not one.
Sic Semper Tyrannis. Take it to heart, tyrants. We’re coming for you. Deo Vindice.
and the RNC refusing to even inject a third of the cash they did in 2009 probably hurt too
The whole country’s lost if we can’t get an opposing party together. I think it has to be Republicans because we don’t realistically have time for anything else.
I don’t have all the answers but we have to find a way to fight the Democrats and win or lose it all. We can win though, I’m sure of it because we have God on our side, if He is with us, who can be against us.
You're right. The sitting governor was a huge disappointment. He was lining the business interest's pockets left and right, and in particular, developers.
But Cuccunelli actually could have won this thing had he understood how to be a street fighter.
