A major Democratic Party benefactor and Obama campaign bundler helped pay for professional petition circulators responsible for getting Virginia Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Robert C. Sarvis on the ballot a move that could split conservative votes in a tight race.
Campaign finance records show the Libertarian Booster PAC has made the largest independent contribution to Sarvis campaign, helping to pay for professional petition circulators who collected signatures necessary to get Sarvis name on Tuesdays statewide ballot.
Austin, Texas, software billionaire Joe Liemandt is the Libertarian Booster PACs major benefactor. Hes also a top bundler for President Barack Obama. This revelation comes as Virginia voters head to the polls Tuesday in an election where some observers say the third-party gubernatorial candidate could be a spoiler for Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

Liberaltarians are just liberals that don’t want to pay taxes!
Libertarians are just Republicans that want to smoke pot!
Offer a Liberaltarian a big sack of dope to smoke with his queer boyfriend and you could get to vote for Karl Marx!

Libertarians provided the margin for Democrats in at least nine elections
As we’ve perused last week’s election returns, we’d noticed a number of races where Libertarian candidates appear to have played spoiler for Republicanscertainly, more than we’re accustomed to. While we haven’t run a comparison with prior cycles, we’ve identified no fewer than nine contests in 2012 where the Libertarian received more votes than the difference between the Democratic and Republican candidates. What’s more, none of these involved the typical 1 or maybe 2 percent you ordinarily expect a Lib to garner: Looking at the three-way vote, all but one were over 3 percent, and three took 6 percent or more, with a high of 6.5 percent in the Montana Senate race. These definitely seem like unusually high figures.”
What? No green party?
Don't need them anymore. The Communist (Rat) party has gone mainstream.
It also shows you what other libertarians think of their so called leaders. Ron Paul has endorsed Cuccenilli and is campaigning with him and this Sarvis asshole could care less.
Real Republicans would never threaten to vote for a third party candidate just because they disagree with something the GOP nominated candidate stands for.
Dirty campaigning, the specialty of Chicago thug Democrats. And the Liberarian saps in VA fell for it, so the biggest sleezeball Leftist will be governor of the state. That’s the kind of judgment you’d expect from the under-informed.
Meanwhile, the GOP is playing tiddlywinks.
Perfectly legal and a ploy that has been done time after time.
The only difference between a Libertarian and a Liberal is after the first five letters.
Disgusting what Dems will do
Exactly. They knew McAullife could nor win without dividing the opposition
The point is ,Sarvis is NOT a Libertarian! He is a Democrat plant, what libertarian do you know who is for RAISING taxes, putting black boxes in cars to monitor your driving?
I wonder how much Sarvis is being paid under the table to have entered and stayed in the race. And/or what job will he be given if Terry McA. wins.
I predicted as much last week, without any evidence but with clear knowlegde the guy was no real Libertarian, just a “hook” for them.
And why not? The enemy of my enemy, and so on.... There is nothing unethical about what the Democrats are doing here, but the Libertarian candidate is showing his hypocritical colors. He should do the honorable thing, and withdraw, throwing his support to Cuccinelli. That would screw the Democrats who are using him like a tool, and preserve his integrity.
He should do the honorable thing, and withdraw, throwing his support to Cuccinelli. ............Its not a problem, its just a mater of how much $$$$ will it take for him to do that. $$$$ talks nobody walks!
A Party that.as far as I know, has never won one major political office in a contested race.
