My parents are screaming left wingers frothing at the mouth
with resentment of the rich even though they went to Catholic college, own homes and have never missed a meal.
I am a conservative.
My siblings are all lefties.
How do I explain it?
My parents were deceived by the devil of psychology, starting with ‘Transactional Analysis” the “I’m OK, You’re OK” crapola of my youth.
I could tell it was garbage from the beginning. My siblings bought into it. I attribute a lot of the damage to garbage spouting psychologists and the ‘I deserve to be happy at your expense” crap that they spout.
You’re obviously smarter
I have three sisters. They’re all hardcore libs. What is the most important issue for all three? Take a guess. If you said abortion, you win the prize. Although they claim abortion is down the list as far as importance in voting for women, I’d bet most lib women lie when they tell pollsters that abortion is not the most important issue for them. Even many normally Republican-voting women are pro-abortion and vote accordingly.
My parents were more liberal than me when I was growing up. Now they are conservatives too. My kids are very conservative. We have achieved conservative zen for 3 generations.
