1,400 paintings in one apartment? Fishy.
This all begs the question...if there were a bunch of fake high-end masterpieces existing in the 1930s...by the German Jewish elite, and dumped on the government. It may take a decade to decide if they are valid or fakes.
Now that you think about it that is a lot of paintings to be able to store in an apartment.
Yeah, I know it's sarcasm, but I'm sure many of these works were previously in private collections, and had probably not been catalogued by the folks who do such thing.
