One of the fundamental flaws of the Affordable Care Act is that, despite its name, it makes health insurance more expensive.
Today, the Manhattan Institute released the most comprehensive analysis yet conducted of premiums under Obamacare for people who shop for coverage on their own. Here’s what we learned.
In the average state, Obamacare will increase underlying premiums by 41 percent. As we have long expected, the steepest hikes will be imposed on the healthy, the young, and the male. And Obamacare’s taxpayer-funded subsidies will primarily benefit those nearing retirement—people who, unlike the young, have had their whole lives to save for their health-care needs.
Biggest winners: NY, CO, OH, MA; Biggest losers: NV, NM, AR, NC.
Elderly will receive massive subsidies, thanks to younger people.

Makes you wonder, where are the Republicans blaming the Democrats for wanting people to lose their health care, die of minor ailments because they can’t afford government health care, or have to chose between feeding their family or complying with the law. Thanks to Ted Cruz, and Mike Lee, I don’t think the Democrats look like they care about the American people. And every time the Republicans even think about fiscal responsibility, the Democrats run to the closest mic to accuse them of all sorts of human rights violations. It is time to turn the table on these tyrants. But then I come back to reality, and remember, the Republicans only attack conservatives.
The public will really be ripping the bark off these Dem commies at town hall meeting when this sinks in.
The rates hikes are the BEST part. The WORST part will be denials of service through RATIONING to minimize collapse of the entire system which is going to happen, regardless.
AND THATS WITH $12,000 DEDUCTABLES!!!!!
if they had the same deductible as most current plans it would easily be double or triple
obama making excuses for his lying and the press trying to say that when the website is repaired... all of this goes away. They know that they are all lying and they know how bad this is and they know how bad it is going to be for them in the next two elections.
And then there are the taxes on everything in the supporting industries of health care like medical devices. Yeah, 0bamaCare will bring health care costs down and Saddam Hussein is going to make a comeback.

Yep, and little to no mention of increased copay and huge deductibles. Essentially the middle class is ponying up thousands of more dollars for premiums for what is essentially now a catastrophic loss policy.
But, but, but - I was promised a 2500 dollar decrease in my premium - don’t tell me I was lied too yet again.....
