It was Edward Snowdens revelations of domestic spying by the National Security Agency that hatched the idea graphic artist Dan McCall would take the NSAs emblem and < href="http://www.libertymaniacs.com/">( create a new look with a funny twist.)
When I got finished I thought, this is pretty good I thought it was fun, McCall said.
Soon, he was having T-shirts emblazoned with the NSA logo accompanied by the slogan, peeping while youre sleeping. Under the parodied emblem was the statement, the only part of government that actually listens.
What McCall meant as pure parody, apparently wasnt very funny to bureaucrats at the NSA.

While he calls it parody they call a violation of the spy agencys intellectual property.
Because when youre pointing straight at an organization or making fun at it, turning it on itself, that is classic parody, he said.
The agency ordered him to cease and desist and forced his (...censored shirts) But on Tuesday, the father of three young boys drew a line in the sand.....

Somehow “Intellectual Property,” and the NSA don’t compute. Anyway, it’s not “their intellectual property,” its ours anyway. Sue the bastards till they go home.

I understand his rebelliousness, as an occasional artist myself, but Dude, this is The Obama Administration you’re jerking around. This is not your GrandDad’s American Presidency, or anything we are used to. This President thinks of us conservatives as Enemy-Subjects, not Citizens, or any sort of equal. The NSA is just another White House tentacle. They could make life hard for his three boys. Invent reasons for the schools to expel them. Ideas which used to be called paranoid are now seen as prescient and wizened.
