and if he wanted to run for President a lot of FReepers would be on board. Lee-Cruz, Cruz-Lee whatever.
He hasn’t caught on fire like Cruz has. Cruz has been savaged by the media, left, RINO’s and everyone else. That makes him more appealing to conservatives and FReepers.
The only things in Lee’s bio that might give pause is him growing up being friendly with Harry Reid and his family.
<....”We know what the Democratic Party is going to put on the table for them”.....>
Yes, and they will eat it IMO because the ability for critical thinking is all but gone among the populace. They follow the Piper that makes them feel good and feeds them all the “candy” their senses can handle and more.
The facts were there about Obama...and the nation majority chose to believe the deception....they can no longer distinguish between truth and falsehood...nor do they want to.
I really think we should be focusing on the 2014 elections instead of the next presidential race. Let the ‘14 off year election showcase the best candidate for president in ‘16.
Carson is an honorable man. That’s good enough for me. The best men to lead are not political careerists.
Why do you give up before the battle begins?
I agree 100 Percent with you and have been saying that for quite a while. We also should have concentrated during the 2012 on the senate election which was just as important then the presidential election
Mike Lee is from Utah
Some people throw the towel in and rather sit home to pout instead of fighting
The deck was really stacked against us in the 2012 elections. First, the Romney campaign basically told the tea party to get lost and then we learn the Obama backed IRS was harassing organized tea party groups.
Did you listen to Rush today? He called out the GOP establishment elites. Said he believed they wouldn’t mind a Democrat victory for governor in VA tomorrow so they can blame the tea party for the loss.
In response to Peggy Noonan’s opinion that the tea party doesn’t want to take over the Republican party but rather, they want to destroy it. Rush said that the tea party’s goal is to fight the Democrats and defeat them while the Republicans appear to not want a victory over the Dems. That the GOP had no fight in them, other than to attack members of their own team.
Between them Cruz and Carson have, as of today, 1+ years experience with the federal government. However brilliant and ideologically in tune with conservatives, both/either need more actual experience in government. We’ve already seen what the combination of charisma and lack of experience can yield.
It would be nice if Americans started to treat the presidency seriously instead of putting forth candidates we like as if we were voting for Homecoming King.
I want Cruz as my president, he has all the talent of leadership and love of a constitutional free republic, he has it all, calm cool hand strategist, but is a little weak in one crucial area, he is not an in your face no holds barred vicious attack dog, a down and dirty mud, blood, beer and bite off your ear fighter.
LTC West is the best, to round out the Cruz ticket, together they eat rusty nails and wash it down with battery acid.
Uh, Mr Cruz’s last name means nothing to me. His love for American liberty means everything to me.
Geesh, what happened to you?
Somethin’ be wrong with some of these people. Makes you wonder what their agenda is.
Nope. The exact numbers are 59,948,323 votes in 2008 and 60,933,500 in 2012, for a difference of 985,177 in Romney's favor.
Romney also beat McCain on percentage: 47.2% vs 45.7%.
being VP is not brain surgery, but Carson is a BRAIN SURGEON, so i guess he has it covered.
What the left in this country is doing isn't supported by everyone on the left, they're marching in lock-step out of fear or something else that isn't easy to see. Similar to how the Muslims world-wide can't find a method or a collective voice to criticize the radical extremists even though they don't all support that agenda.
The fact that the right is divided today is a sign that we're searching for leadership. Perhaps Mr. Cruz is the answer, but the point is well taken that arguments and discussion about tactics and principles in the American tradition is alive and well, as designed into our government from it's founding on the Republican side.
