I recently read an article about Monster energy drinks being reclassified from a nutritional supplement to a beverage so that people could use their snap cards to buy them. They said they just wanted to take advantage of this food stamp economy. Giving taxpayers the shaft in the process was not a consideration.

I don’t see why taxpayers get the shaft from the change.

I mean if the SNAPpers can’t buy Monster, do you really think they will forgo spending that amount of their monthly allotment?

They're just being good capitalists. I'd do the same thing in their situation.

As for those shafted taxpayers, to hell with them! They should have thought before voting — or just stayed home and let those with high information make the decisions.
