Can you feed yourself on $4.50 a day?

Easily. And well.

Next question.

The question is bogus. There are few 1-person-per-household SNAP beneficiaries.

The better question is, can you afford to feed 4-5 people a day @4.50/each = 24.00/day? You certainly can, if you rattle those pots and pans.

Breakfast is taken care of by WIC: eggs, milk, cheese, and the schools; lunch is taken care of by sandwiches and chips, and the schools, and dinner is taken care of roasts of beef, chicken, pork, etc with rice, beans, pasta, garlic bread provided by the food pantries, and the schools.

Show me a skinny food stamp recipient and I’ll try to give a damn.

Key is you don’t live on four fifty a day... you take what you are given monthly and buy food to cook meals that extend the value of the four fifty a day. I use to buy eleven dollars groceries a week in the late seventies.... and I would feed myself and several freeloaders who would show up at dinnertime because they knew I could cook and had food.
