its no problem at all to eat on $4.50 a day. I've done it on half that, and was healthy. Of course, you can spend a whole lot more if you buy all the things you especially like (I know this, too, alas!) and expensive items and easy pre-pared foods and go out dining in nice restaurants, or just almost any restaurants these days. But all that is just unnecessary to basic nutrition and survival. I'm tired of all this mass media whining about $4.50 a day. For goodness sakes, it is being GIVEN to the recipients for Free. There is no work requirement and no repayment requirement (so far as I know). Isn't it time for the mass media welfare-state lovers to pipe down for awhile?
