Because the pubbies nominated a dufus for a candidate and the two major papers in the state are solid RAT.
In the bigger scheme of things they are not.
Congress appropriates money and the Executive negotiates contracts to spend the money.
But the NRSC spends millions of dollars on advertizing so I believe what they are say is if you do business with the Tea Party you will not do business with the NRSC.
Plus since the Senate is run by the Democrats it would be tough for these Republicans to say to Harry Reid we want to block this contract because this company is working with this guy who wants me defeated in the primary.
I think Harry would have a stroke from laughing so hard.
(Excerpt) In a warning shot to outside conservative groups, the National Republican Senatorial Committee this week informed a prominent Republican advertising firm that it would not receive any contracts with the campaign committee because of its work with a group that targets incumbent Senate Republicans. Even more striking, a senior official at the committee called individual Republican Senate campaigns and other party organizations this week and urged them not to hire the firm,
How does that contradict what I said? It doesn’t in any way, shape, manner, or form.
Leni
And not only does that not contradict what I said at all, it is also completely nonresponsive to my point about the members of the Committee being the incumbent, sitting Senators, and that they would not defend themselves and not support their own defeat. So what was the point of your faux ‘rebuttal’? Just to argue for the sake of arguing?
(Unbelievable)
You are not responding to anything I’m saying - what an absurd conversation. You just like being nasty, I guess.
No, I was responding to your first comment calling people "absurd", who were simply responding to the deceptive practices of the NSRC.
You said...
...it is however absurd to suggest that the members of a Committee would consider opposing themselves and to act like it is something surprising that they would not do such a thing.
Did you forget that you made that statement?
The NSRC has received a lot of campaign contributions over the years. Their mission statement says that they help all potential senatorial candidates. Yet in primaries the money they receive only helps incumbents. That is deceptive and NO it is not "absurd" to expect the NSRC not to be deceptive.
Simple point.
