Barry Goldwater called Richard Nixon, whom he supported three times for President “the most dishonest man I ever met.” Lester G. Maddox said the same thing of Governor GA Jimmy Carter. On thing Nixon, Goldwater, and Carter (but not Maddox) all agreed upon is their support for abortion without restrictions.

I must slightly disagree about Carter. When he ran for POTUS, he was nominally pro-life. he also used to oppose public funding, and caught heat from the feminists. He actually said "life's tough sometimes".

Yes, THAT Jimmah.

And Nixon said once about abortion that he thought it should be legal, but NOT paid for by taxpayers in any way.

Of course he was caught on tape supporting abortion for cases like a "black and white fetus".

Wonder what libs would say if they heard that.
