Well, hundreds of thousands -- yes, numbers I could find vary from 800,000 to 1.2 million -- of bikers, regular American folks with determined looks and flying flags, rode through DC on 9/11.
It was never reported that way, though.
And on Oct. 13, Owen Kellogg posted some incredible photos of thousands who marched on DC, families with kids, old folks, regular people, lots of veterans, and who dismantled the barriers in front of monuments and piled them up out of the way.
Owen, could you guess? Was it thousands? Tens of thousands on Oct. 13? You were there, right? I could't find any reports on the numbers. Your photos were absolutely Pulitzer Prize.
My guess was 5 to 10 thousand on October 13.
