Thorium backed as a 'future fuel'
BBC News ^ | Oct 31, 2013 | Roger Harrabin

Nuclear scientists are being urged by the former UN weapons inspector Hans Blix to develop thorium as a new fuel.

Mr Blix says that the radioactive element may prove much safer in reactors than uranium.

His enthusiasm is shared by some in the British nuclear establishment. Scientists at the UK’s National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) have been encouraged by the government to help research on an Indian thorium-based reactor, and on a test programme in Norway.

China is going for a revolutionary approach, devising a next-generation reactor which its supporters say will enable thorium to be used much more safely than uranium.

“Charles Beaudette”

Thank you. He answered my question. He says that they cannot reproduce excess energy since the Pons/Fleischmann apparatus used off-the-shelf cathodes and since no two are manufactured the same, we cannot reproduce the initial conditions required for excess energy!

But he says for more money he will continue his research ...

"Interesting that Pons and Fleischmann were never able to replicate their experiment ...."

WHERE are you getting this crap?? Pons/Fleischmann certainly did replicate excess heat experiments, and expanded the capability during their work period for Toyota. As have many other researchers.

The hardest part of the work was to identify batches of palladium with properties similar to the original Johnson-Matthey material, or materials equivalent to it. Which has been done successfully.

And techniques have been developed which have eliminated the need for the JM material entirely.

Beaudette does not, has not, and is not doing research in LENR. Again, WHERE are you getting this ridiculous crap??

This excerpt proves these guys know nothing about heat and energy ....

Remarks on the test
The device subject to testing was powered by 360 W for a total of 96 hours, and produced in all
2034 W thermal. This value was reached by calculating the power transferred by the ECat HT to
the environment by convection and power irradiated by the device.”

Ah. So your particular skeptopath tactic is to find one line somewhere that supposedly supports your assertions if taken out of context and ignore everything else.

Just another skeptopath who has zip interest in a fact-based debate. As I suspected would turn out to be the case. You're just another waste of time. Consider yourself "round-filed".

Why did they use a continuous power to the ‘dummy’ but used cycling on/off to the ‘real’ container?
