RE :”That is essential battle-space prep for moving on to single payer. “ObamaCare would work fine if the insurance companies were removed.

Right now its damage control and Dems are frustrated that insurance companies are citing Obamacare rules for cancelations.

but progressives say:
Obamacare was a conservative idea that came from Mitt Romney.
See Obama did everything he could to reach across the aisle to make Republicans happy, even passing THEIR bill.
Now that we proved that having health insurance companies in the middle doesn't work its time to try single payer. But don't worry, if you like your insurance policy you will be able to keep it under single payer so support single payer. We need to make it work,’

RE “Lawmakers discussed a proposal by Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) to let people keep their health plans, even if they fall short of the requirements set under the new law, according to another lawmaker in the room
....
But, Mary, it’s the law of the land. Deal with it.”

If the GOP could hijack this idea and pass a bill that gets rid of all the mandates under this same name 'Let you keep...' then Obamacare would die.

This is what should scare the entire country.

The rats will do nothing to fix this. However they will invest every ounce of energy they have on blaming Repubicans.

Notice they didn’t get to meet with King iWon Thinskin or the Gorn who’s actually running things. So, basically, the WH just shined them on, and they’re too clueless to see that.

Very good observation. It fits in with this pollutico article too ...

“The president cares a lot more about the opinions of Fred Hiatt or Tom Friedman than he does about the average U.S. Senator,” said one 'journOlist'.

Just wait until tens of millions are dropped from their company insurance plans. This should be good.

Make everyone suffer so the inner city non-producing cretins get free healthcare. Thats a plan/s

If you thought healthcare was expensive before, wait till its free.

Try This:

Best ever description of Obama Care aka DeathCare!

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said:

“We have to pass it, to find out what’s in it.”
A physician called into a radio show and said:
“That’s the definition of a stool sample.”

Pretty well sums it up.

And if the GOP had a clue, they would make the case that:

1) “Freedom of Choice” is dead.

2) That 70 year old men have ended up with Sandra Fluke’s healthcare plan: paying for abortions, birth control pills, STD treatments, and maternity health care when all else fails.

And that’s the point. We’ve weaseled into this position through wickedness.

Thanks Qbert.
Democratic senators facing reelection in 2014 were some of the most vocal critics. One lawmaker described Sens. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) as visibly "agitated." Shaheen demanded to know why the rollout of HealthCare.gov had become so riddled with problems... Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) told colleagues the White House and Democratic lawmakers need to do a better job telling positive stories about the Affordable Care Act. She lamented that insurance companies have had it "both ways" by blaming ObamaCare for rising premiums and reaping millions of new customers because of the law, according to a lawmaker who attended the meeting.
No, Stab-me-now -- you and the rest of the Demagogic Party shoved this whole fiasco down everyone else's throats, voting down all changes, and supporting it without knowing what was in it.

Stupidcow isn't up for reelection till 2016 so it must be one hell of a problem for her to worry about in now. Gary Peters is running to fill the Levin seat and he's awfully quiet about it. I haven't heard much out of Mark Schauer either and Obamacare is his signature vote during his single term in Congress.
