The attack is believed to be the fifth airstrike conducted by Israel inside Syria this year... like the four previous attacks this year has not been acknowledged by the Israeli government. The air strike was first reported in Israeli newspapers which cited explosions at a missile storage facility near Latakia. The accounts differed as to what types of air defense missile systems may have been targeted by Israeli warplanes.Types? The Russian kind.
So the Russians are giving advanced anti-aircraft missile systems to Syria. The rebels don’t have any planes. Obama and Company aren’t going in because Putin stole their lunch money. So are the missiles strictly to protect the Assad regime from Israel or was the IDF bombing something much more important?
There’s a lot of puzzle pieces that don’t fit together.
