Even Obama recognizes it would be hypocritical of him to attend. Hypocrisy has never bothered BO. In fact, he's raised it to a whole new level.
I think he and/or his handlers have just made the calculation that there is no political payoff worth the risk of backlash from the people who actually care about the country he has taken over via electoral coup d'etat.
