McAuliffe, Cuccinelli try to swing Libertarian vote in Virginia race for governor
Washington Times ^ | October 30, 2013 | By David Sherfinski

With some polls showing the Virginia governor’s race tightening in its final days, Republicans and Democrats are looking to manipulate a bloc of libertarian voters who have withheld their support from the major parties but who could swing the hotly contested race if they return to the fold for Election Day.

A Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday showed Republican Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II trimming Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s lead in the Virginia governor’s race to 4 percentage points, suggesting the contest is much closer than some analysis has indicated.

The survey gave Mr. McAuliffe a lead of 45 percent to 41 percent, with 9 percent of likely voters opting for Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis. That advantage is down from 46 percent to 39 percent for Mr. McAuliffe in a Quinnipiac poll last week, when Mr. Sarvis had 10 percent.

Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said the results suggest that some people who committed to Mr. Sarvis might be “coming home” to Mr. Cuccinelli — good news for the Republican who has had a difficult time throughout the race solidifying support among members of his own party.

The LP usually gets one or two percent. If they are at 9% the GOPe should be soiling their Depends. I think the angry base of both parties are propelling this.

Governor Palin warned us not to marginalize the libertarians. If the stupid party does any kind of amnesty the LP will grow like mad. They gave been warned, from within and from outside.

...might be “coming home” to Mr. Cuccinelli.

Keep coming home, Libertarians! Don't give it to McAuliffe.

Ron Paul is coming to campaign with Cuccinelli. That’s not marginalizing Libertarians. Just beating some sense in them. Hope it works.

The race seemed to tighten when Rand Paul came to VA and told libertarians to vote for Cuccinelli....and not for the libertarian spoiler, Sarvis. Ron is coming in to campaign for Ken---he should tell Sarvis to throw his support to Ken. Sarvis has no chance of winning. Sarvis is only enabling Clinton/McAuliffe to run rampant over Va....now....and in 2016.

=====================================================

Wheeler-dealer McAuliffe is ogling the VA treasury ....and the conniving Clintons are having wet dreams about Terry fixing the Va vote for Hilly come 2016. VA voters who vote for McAuliffe are making a deal with three devils.

=================================================

(Snicker) the "dearly departed" are also McAuliffe voters.

TERRY, THESE GHOULISH THING REMIND ME OF YOU McAuliffe is apparently polling well---and prolly receiving mucho campaign cash---from the "dearly departed" b/c a lawsuit Democrats filed says “the [VA State Board of Elections] is rushing to complete the purging of dead voters in time to have the desired effect on the upcoming gubernatorial election.....to make sure that those who no longer live here don’t vote here."

(cackle) The "dearly departed" are also Hillary voters. Terry is 2016 Hillary's place-keeper. If elected, grave-robber Terry will fix the vote---dead or alive---for Hilly. (That's after he rapes the VA state treasury.)

=======================================================

DEAD AND READY Another shady example of how the connected ex-DNC chair, Obama suck-up, and Clinton confidant, mixes business with politics to profit himself....with the dead and near-dead as his victims.

<><>McAuliffe apparently lied to VA voters---according to McAuliffe's campaign, he invested $33,000 in the notorious Caramadre death fund and received $80,000 in return, a $47,000 profit. However, documents submitted in Caramadre's trial by federal authorities indicated that McAuliffe's profit was actually $114,000, or $34,000 more than McAuliffe admitted to voters.

<><> According to official RI court records, McAuliffe’s connection to Caramadre came to light via court records linking McAuliffe’s investment directly with the terminally ill, ailing mechanic; official forms identified them as "acquaintances" (apparently a requirement to allow McAuliffe to cash in).

<><> When the irrefutable court records surfaced, McAuliffe’s campaign then said McA did not know the mechanic and doesn’t know why they were listed as "acquaintances."

<><> NOTE: if official files were falsified to profit McAuliffe, that's a felony in any state.

If I were in that state I would vote for Cucinelli. He has a track record of fighting Obamacare. He was the first AG to sue IIRC.

The libertarians will happily vote for freedom fighters. That is why me and Sarah Palin don't want them ridiculed and marginalized. We want 80% allies. And votes.

I heard on WMAL this morning that a group of women are holding a press conference today to call the Democrat candidate a liar on this issue. I don’t know what time, though. Will look for any press coverage on that, too.

A Libertarian who votes for that scumbag, McAuliffe, isn’t a Libertarian. What was ever “libertarian” about sucking off Big Government for his entire life?

That includes those who vote for Robert Sarvis, who isn't a libertarian either.

Sarvis is most definitely a libertarian, he is true to the social issues of libertarianism, being pro-abortion and pro-gay agenda.

He may not be as libertarian as you desire, but he is without question, libertarian.

Look.. Pro-tax and enviro-whacko tendencies to the point of restricting the conduct of business add up to a big-government ideology, no matter how you paint it.

Look, as post 15 made clear, he may not agree with you fully on everything, but he is clearly a good libertarian on social issues.

The man is libertarian, after all, there are libertarians who are not pro-abortion but they can still call themselves libertarians, just not perfect ones.

Ok, so you’re willing to overlook everything I cited.. and you still claim he’s a libertarian. Ok.. he’s a libertarian with statist point of view. Got it.
