The president, his cabinet, the congress and staff will be well cared for within hardened facilities, and fed from well stocked larders. Those billions of rounds of ammunition will be used to protect itself, as it feeds you and yours to the roving hordes.

If that were all that it would be, I would be happy to go along with that protocol. They can take care of theirs and I'll take care of mine until the smoke clears.

However, when the possibility arises of UN troops, foreign troops, DHS, BATFE coming through my neighborhood in a confiscating frame of mind....that's when I have a problem and that's when I'll refuse to comply...and all that that statement implies.

I wrote a short story that used that very thing as a story element. The DHS would surround a small town or large affluent neighborhood and then come through like locusts and take everything they could food, guns, ammo, even gasoline using empty tanker trucks to siphon out the gasoline in cars and trucks.

They would leave the populace behind to survive on their own, (having left nothing behind, that would be a very slight thing to happen). And using the old anti-hoarding laws and FEMA emergency Management laws and regulations they could do it under the ‘cover of law’.

It takes a lot to feed the ‘mob’ and feral yutes ya know after SHTF.
