My point is, you're not pissing off the liberals by wearing a Yankees hat in Vermont. The reason Vermont has become as it is, is because large numbers of New Yorkers(Yankees fans) have invaded and elected liberals.

Native Vermonters are usually very conservative. But there are literally more liberal New Yorkers living in Vermont than there are native Vermonters. Same thing happened in New Hampshire.

Wearing a Yankees team hat in Vermont is a hat-tip to all the wrong people.
