This case has been discussed ad naseum here. Leaving the room and going out into the garage,where your vehicle is (and sufficient means to leave) and retrieving a gun, walking back to the scene of the argument and recklessly firing a "warning shot".....is not stand your ground.

I was not saying either way . It comes down to she was tried and convicted and “they” are still hashing the same old Bull5hit!
Trayvon’ absentee mom will continue to exploit her son’s death. The sad part is she will never admit that she could have prevented it from ever coming to that moment.
She herself will probably die a very bitter old woman.
As a 78 year old Miamian, with 4 members of my family in law enforcement, I full well know the laws pertaining to defending oneself., and have twice done so.
Never spent a minute in jail.
Mellisa will spend her term in jail!
