Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) rose from his seat on Tuesday during a congressional hearing into the Affordable Care Acts problematic roll-out. He accused his Republican colleagues in the House of dishonestly seeking to identify the problems with the ACA because they would prefer to see it repealed entirely.
Pascrell began by insisting that, even though Democrats opposed Medicare Part D in the Bush Era, they worked to make sure that the program was a success.
He became animated as he said that Democrats put aside their opposition to Bush in order to make a policy objective work for the good of the American public. And how many of you stood up to do that, Pascrell said exploding out of his chair. None. Zero.
What are you going to do about the approximately 17 million children with preexisting conditions who can no longer be denied health insurance coverage, Pascrell asked his Republican colleagues. We want to go back and want to say you are no longer covered any longer. Are you going to tell the parents of those kids?

The great socialist revolution is slipping away and he knows it.
Pressure’s getting to them. Pascrell wants some GOPe cover for what is now obviously an unmitigated disaster.
No, Sparky. We’ll let you tell the parents why you promised them something reality couldn’t deliver.
Whacko Bird!
The RATS seem a little more unhinged than usual..means they’re feeling the heat, good!
The only good commie is one that’s.....
Pallone exploded last week too. NJ sends some real head-cases to the House.
Obviously Pascrell did not like the 12 ton block of fail he was just fed.
Sounds like he's still in the "denial phase" re: the death of Obamacare.
The Rats weren’t against Medicare Part D. They just didn’t want Bush to get credit for it. But we conservatives gave him credit for it, which is one of the reasons his approvals tanked so badly.
I don’t think the GOPe will totally dismantle Obamacare if they have power.
The Steve Schmidt type political consultants have told them they would lose women or moderates or some demographic if they did that.
So they will modify it to Romneycare or some “kinder, gentler” version as an ex-RINO president might have put it.
But the disaster of Obamacare is a political threat to the Democrats and they are feeling heat.
The system will not work.
Mathematically, it will not work without draconian thievery from the producers of this nation.
You may deny the truth, but you cannot deny the consequences of the truth.
To give something unearned to one, you must take something earned from another.
Would you work as hard to get the uninsured jobs? If they had jobs, they would be happy, fulfilled, and productive. They would cease to be a parasite on society.
The money from producers could then be used to help the truly needy.
Did this deviant (that’s what every Democrat is) speak out of turn? Was he reprimanded as being out of order? IF not, why not?
Obamacare is a colossal train wreck that Democrats OWN. Deal with it as millions will now turn on Democrats for the destruction and misery they have now wrought.
>>even though Democrats opposed Medicare Part D in the Bush Era, they worked to make sure that the program was a success
Of course they did. They opposed it because Bush did it. They made it work because its a freakin’ entitlement program and they never saw a giant way to steal from today’s workers that they didn’t like!
Whoops, there it is!
Maybe this DIM fool is touchy because of eating crap sandwiches.
We reward people based on need. We penalize people based on productivity and success.
In time, people will spend their efforts on ways to become needy, so as to not be penalized and to receive unearned rewards.
Producers will quit.
I expect no man to live for me, and I will live for no other man. Neither I, nor he, will be slaves to each other.
