The head of the agency responsible for overseeing the troubled HealthCare.gov repeatedly refused to disclose how many people have enrolled in ObamaCare -- during a hearing where she did not deny that officials have that information.
Marilyn Tavenner, head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, testified Tuesday before the House Ways and Means Committee. At the top of the hearing, she apologized for the failures of the main ObamaCare website and vowed to fix them.
But, raising more questions about the administration's transparency on the project, she declined to cite enrollment numbers. She did not claim, as Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius recently did, that officials simply do not have those numbers -- rather, she said a "decision" was made to release them in mid-November.
"We made the decision that we were not releasing the numbers until mid-November," she said.
Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., asked again whether she had any idea what the numbers are.
Her answer was the same.
"I'll take that as you don't want to answer the question," Nunes said.

Well !if they’re not willing to release that data about the enrollment. You can guarantee that the data is NO good.
Saying that I hope people are not that stupid to put personal info into. A system filled with security holes.
If they are that stupid they may learn to regret giving away their info.
I thought that I was watching a SNL skit this morning.
Why am I not entitled to know how many people have complied with a law? Also, why would I not be entitled to know the average age, sex, income, education, and composite health picture of applicants for insurance under the ACA?
This is got to be the 100th time the Regime has given them the finger in sworn testimony.
They are trying to figure out how to use ,” Saved or Created “ in the enrollment numbers

Each of my middle-aged children could be socking away approx. $12,000 a year if they could stop paying health insurance premiums and just sign up for ObamaCare if they fall ill.

Jay Carney told reporters that the White House still doesnt know the number of enrollees in the Obamacare marketplace exchanges after going live almost a week ago, and that they shouldnt expect the information for about a month.
When it comes to enrollment data I want to be clear about this we will release data on regular monthly intervals, Carney said, which is the frequency in which Massachusetts and Medicare Part D release information. This is an aggregation process, and were not going to release data on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis.
When pressed by reporters about how the administration could know the number of online visitors to the websites but not the number of those who have enrolled, Carney said the administration used the former to explain why the Healthcare.govs many glitches in the wake of last weeks rollout.
“Well !if theyre not willing to release that data about the enrollment. You can guarantee that the data is NO good...”
Bingo. If they were really rolling in new enrollees they would crowing infinitum, posting numbers, thumping their chests, etc.
They ain’t. And the reason why is real easy to figure out.
They could get these answers and the answers to ALL of the questions in all of the scandals swirling around obunghole... and boner has the power... it is called a SELECT COMMITTEE. That is why none of the questions will ever be answered.
“just sign up for ObamaCare if they fall ill.”
Good point. The whole rationale is universal health care for all. So if you choose to pay the penalty and forego coverage, then get ill, seems like they still have to treat you. If they don’t, their whole purpose is a sham.
They will just report the totality of numbers anyway without separating them out.....# of regular enrollees, # of subsidized enrollees, # of new Medicaid enrollees.
That’s what they did in Kentucky when Obama called to congratulate the governor on 32k enrollees.....cept 82% of them were new Medicaid.
The numbers will be indecipherable.
The “penalty” can be taken only out of a Tax Refund from what I understand.
those choosing to “pay” the penalty....wont unless thy have a tax refund.
November 1 should be big fun
That is most likely true but they are taking a wait and see attitude with the numbers. They will find out what the prevailing number will be estimated by mid Nov by the media and other sycophants and come in slightly higher.
“We made the decision that we were not releasing the numbers until mid-November,” she said.
Obviously they have no intention of releasing data on November 1. But — mid-November is AFTER the election. Hmm...
They keep pushing the date of release back. First they said once a month, implying November 1 at the latest. Now they are saying mid-Noovember. I suppose they will push that one back too.
