The behemoth came ashore near the city of Nazare on the central cost of Portugal and one man came with it.

Brazilian big wave surfer Carlos Burle grabbed a ride on what may be the biggest wave ever surfed.

After conquering the wave Burle told Surfer Today magazine "it was luck. We never know when we will be catching the wave."
