President Barack Obama will campaign for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe this weekend, giving a late boost to McAuliffe as he seeks to energize core Democratic voters in an off-year governors race, Democratic sources told POLITICO.
Obama is set to appear at a Sunday afternoon get-out-the-vote rally in Northern Virginia. It will be the presidents first campaign appearance for McAuliffe, the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
McAuliffes campaign has been working to activate many of the same voters who carried Virginia for Obama in 2008 and 2012: young people, independent women and African American, Latino and Asian American voters. Some of those groups particularly young and nonwhite voters tend to participate at lower rates in non-presidential elections.

I see this, also, as very good news for Cuccinelli! Made me laugh! Obama thinks he is a boon? Kiss of death, I say. I hope Cuccinelli has some funny writers who can use this to his advantage.
what all the gop lacks is they are always REACTING
wth cant the GOP play offense?
The GOP needs to support American jobs.
Now. Quit outsourcing.
Bring back AMERICAN jobs.
Now Cuccinelli can really go negative when Soetoro shows up.
I agree. I envision a dark room somewhere with dozens of focus groups looking over the material and marketing teams attempting to judge people’s reaction. By the time they’ve made a decision they’ve lost the initiative. I was never a big admirer of the late USAF colonel John Boyd but his OODA Loop has a lot of application here. Boyd developed the concept to explain how to direct one’s energies to defeat an adversary and survive. Boyd emphasized that “the loop” is actually a set of interacting loops that are to be kept in continuous operation during combat. He also indicated that the phase of the battle has an important bearing on the ideal allocation of one’s energies. This is something campaigners would do well to understand.

Great news! If I recall everyone Obama campaigned for ended up losing in 2009, the last such off-year election.
I’m not at all convinced. Did you see the interview with Cucinelli last night on Fox News with Bret Baer?
They're going to spin this as the people actually want Obamacare. It's a propaganda technique, to make people feel they're the minority, outcasts, poor losers. People want to be on the winning side, with the majority especially in social media times.
From site on propaganda: Bandwagon-and-inevitable-victory appeals attempt to persuade the target audience to take a course of action "everyone else is taking." "Join the crowd."
They may have successfully "transformed" America, it may be too late.
Its too late in the sense that Conservatives better find their way into ALL these sub divided groups in America today......
Maps I’m looking at show some widespread rain in VA early next week.........
That’s absolutely not a good sign for McA.
Yes VA is right by DC, so its probably nothing more than a quick stop.. but to wedge that in for a president for a governors race, that’s not something that would likley be happening if it was in the bag.
My guess internal polling show him collapsing in the wake of the Obamacare mess, so much so that even the libertarian spoiler won’t take enough votes for McA to win.
Propaganda, they will use this race to say we want Obamacare.
Interesting take. Of course if Cuccinelli wins, then it will have nothing at all to do with ObamaCare, but will be because McAuliffe is so tragically flawed, that not even the great Baraq Obama could save him.
if 100 people show up it will be a couple of busloads from MobsRus.org
