This needs to be the new GOP talking point: Obama refused GOP demands to postpone the mandate, leading to a government shutdown. Then he delayed the mandate anyway. The GOP was right all along to demand a delay, and Obama needlessly shut down the government.
The “shutdown” is ancient history to 98% of the public — or should I say, to 98% of the 5% that have been paying attention.
Absolutely. Wasn’t it just 3 1/2 weeks ago when every Democrat was trumpeting that a delay was the worst possible thing that could happen?
