Conservatives do not want a political party leadership that can make or break candidates.

We had an honest primary. Romney was nobody's favorite until conservatives knocked every candidate who was better than Romney out of the running by their quest for purity.

The problem was that conservatives could not coalesce around a single candidate and stick with him/her.

But your call for a political party that takes out candidates you don't like is not my idea of freedom.

Sorry, but when the ‘rules’ ‘disqualify’ all but the ‘big names’/$$-bags, that’s NOT an ‘honest primary’. When 5 States can dictate the candidates before the other 45 have had a CHANCE to cast their own vote, that is NOT an ‘honest primary’. When you have a ‘debate’ that only spits out 30sec sound-bites, THAT is not an honest debate.
