There are good male and female role models, and there are horrible male and female role models.
I would disagree with Fred, the author of the article, in that only men can teach boys. These days, too many "men" are faggots and predatory; too many are brainless jocks; too many are liberal. None of those are any better for educating young men than the hostile lesbian feminists.
And contrary to popular myth, competitive sports have in recent decades created the worst character traits imaginable among boys.
Teachers and coaches are not involved in their formation
They teach them a subject and move on.

Boys need to know first that the teacher will/could never bring herself to use her power to emasculate or embarrass; then, when she proves, by action, that she is interested in their success and future even when they appear to be self destructive, and she has control and peace and the admiration of her peers.
